Dear Valued Customer:
I am sorry to inform you that Macs Westcoast Auto will be closing its doors on September 24, 2010. Most importantly, I would like to thank you for all of your support through the past few years. Due to a few reasons beyond my control it has brought me to the decision to close the shop down. As many of you know, I have been very busy since the opening. Since I have been working an average of 14 hours a day just to keep up with the work load, the past year I have been trying to hire another mechanic. Unfortunately, due to the economy, the type of mechanic I have needed is unavailable. Instead of burning my self out mentally and physically any more, I have decided to close the doors. My two year old son is at a very curious age and is starting to become a little more rambunctious, and in October my daughter will be born. With me working so much I will not be able to be home and help out as much as Id like to. These next few years my family is going to need me as much as possible. I feel that if I keep going like I have, I won't be able to be there for them when they need me the most.
I hope that you understand that closing this shop is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I am sure by now you are wondering “Where am I going to have MY car worked on?”. I was hoping by the time I write this letter that I would have an answer for you. That is partly why this letter is as late as it is. Some of you probably have another shop in mind already. But I know that some of you have no idea. Finding another shop to repair your car is not as easy as just opening up the phone book. There are over 180 different shops in the Temecula area alone.
The good news is that I plan to still be working in town and would love for you to “move” to the shop I start working at. I am talking to a few shops at the moment, but have not settled on a agreement at this time. I will be sending out another letter as soon as I have found employment. I will also have a “guide to finding a repair shop” included in the next letter if you decide to go somewhere else. There is also contact information for you to stay in contact with me at the end of this letter. I hope that you are able to be patient and trust that I am trying to find a home for all of you that will treat you as well as I have been able to do. If you do decide to go to a different shop, please do not hesitate to ask me about them!
Once again I thank you so much for all of your support and loyalty. I have enjoyed getting to know all of you and working on your cars. I hope that with this next chapter in our lives that everything thing will work out for the better.
Thank you again
Matthew “Mac”Crook
